Contextualization

As we said before, Art Of Fighting I is an arcade fighting videogame released in 1992, around these years this genre reached its peak, there was an apogee for arcade fighting videogames, few of them still being considered as masterpieces nowadays, a clear example of it is Street Fighter II or Mortal Kombat I, shamely not all of them still being remembered as the ones we've mentioned, others aged badly but in its years were revolutionary and exciting to play such as Fatal Fury or Samurai Showdown.
Although, Art Of Fighting I is clearly inspired in Street Fighter II, since the name of the main character "Ryo" (AoF I) VS "Ryu" (SF II) until some of the special attacks or combos you can perform during your gameplay.

Concluding, we can say that Art Of Fighting I came out in an era when the market was practically collapsed of arcade fighting videogames due to the great feedback the players gave to the genre.
