The default assignmentLabel was 'selfpacedlab-assignment' but the operator labels assigned ResourceClaims with 'assigned'. This caused assigned instances to be counted as ready instead.

The negative margin hack to make tabs span edge-to-edge overflowed
the container, causing horizontal scroll whitespace. Use the page
section padding variables instead.

Consistent with the services list page — avoids client-side label
checking and uses the operator-computed counts instead.
