When (left-) clicking the menubar item, a short "8h88m" flicker appears in the bottom left corner. Also, I think right clicking a menubar item for preferences is quite unusual.
Suggestion: when (left-) clicking the menubar item show the remaining time, "Preferences" and "Quit".
