[Bug]: editAction error

When adding editAction() as outlined in the docs the following error occurs in the app:

get_class(): Argument #1 ($object) must be of type object, null given

@ManukMinasyan We are attempting to add an edit action identical to the documentation but we experience nothing when clicking the item in the kanban board. We are on version 0.1.7.

I've tested the code you shared but couldn't reproduce the issue you're experiencing. Everything worked correctly on my end.

@ManukMinasyan I think the main problem is that nothing happens when we click the cards, ie, nothing runs or executes, no queries created, it feels like a dead button really. Create action works fine on the + icons and spawns a form just fine - so I'm inclined to blame whichever code generates the cards in the kanban board

perhaps you can point me in the direction of where in the code this stuff is defined so I can bug hunt as well?

We get some errors I missed before from console in f12 browser - take a look

Claude suggestion:

The UUID contains hyphens but isn't properly quoted as a string in the JavaScript expression, causing a syntax error. This explains why nothing happens when you click the edit button - the JavaScript that should trigger the modal is failing.
This is likely an issue with the Kanban package itself, not your implementation. The package isn't properly encoding/escaping the UUID when generating the Alpine.js expression.

Found a solution:

in:

amend from:

Conclusion: the bug is in the way that UUIDs are being passed - we have hyphens in ours and that breaks - you probably do not in your db?

Further request: would be nice if we had some form of edit icon button on the card such that it's not the entire card that spawns an edit form, and also a loading indicator as we have with the create button, so the user knows that something is loading
