Do not use memCacheProvider for datasources, instead use a dedicated in-memory datasourceCacheProvider. Then clear the datasourceCacheProvider once all lookups are complete, in order to save memory (unlike the memCacheProvider which is kept until the end of the repo run).

It's the massive undertaking, which will take weeks to months to accomplish with all testing, PR approval, etc.

Let's invalidate the subset of cache keys instead.
