The Scientific Computing System, or SCS, is a data acquisition application written by NOAA/OMAO and is used by the NOAA fleet to record underway sensor data. CLAMS interfaces with SCS to record sensor data during events. SCS v6 changed the client interface, breaking compatibility with CLAMS. A new, more general interface using simple sockets has been developed and needs to be fully implemented in CLAMS.
