Blaise's first public release. A local-first, Mac-native meeting transcriber and notes app: it records your system + microphone audio locally, transcribes it (handling fluid switching between languages), and writes clean human-readable notes with an explicit action-items section. Your audio never leaves your Mac.
Install
- Download
Blaise.app.zipbelow and unzip it. - This build is unsigned (ad-hoc), so macOS Gatekeeper will block a plain double-click. To open it the first time: right-click (or Control-click) Blaise.app → Open → Open. After that it launches normally. Move it to
/Applicationsif you like.
Requirements: macOS 26.1 or later, Apple Silicon.
Prefer to build it yourself? Clone the repo and run scripts/build_app.sh (macOS 26 + Xcode 26, ~5 min) — see the README.
Good to know
- The app starts empty. No sample data ships with it — you'll do a quick onboarding (just your name) and then record your own meetings.
- Transcription runs entirely on-device. Cloud notes synthesis is optional and uses your own Anthropic API key (entered in Settings); without one, local transcription still works.
- Your meetings are safe across updates. Data lives in
~/Library/Application Support/Blaise/, separate from the app — replacingBlaise.appwith a newer build keeps every meeting (the database migrates itself forward).
