Right-clicking an open image in Fly crashes it

I sadly have to create another issue about my right-click woes as right-clicking any open image on versions of Fly newer than 2.3.0 straight-up causes the application to crash and close without an error. The log-file has no indications about any right-click related and there's also no mention of a crash. I did install every new version of Fly cleanly and my setup hasn't changed since last time, I still use an acrylic, classic right-click menu via StartAllBack.

The only mention of the crash I see is in Event Viewer citing ntdll.dll as the cause:

In this issue it was working in 2.3.0 and did it go bad from there again?

Yes pretty much, I remember it fixing itself with 2.3.0 and when I was testing the recently released newer versions I found it doesn't work again.

Can you try this? Uninstall and install. I haven't changed the version. It is still 2.4.1

And as an update 2.5.0 Beta is lightning fast but sadly also doesn't fix the issue.

I have done yet another rewrite of the context menu related things to fix this bug and #53.
I hope atleast it will not take down the app when you right click.
If still the context menu is not coming, but the app is not crashing, can you check the app log. I have put some error codes there to check.

Thanks for still trying to look into this, I appreciate it! Unfortunately this version also straight up crashes and the logs don't indicate anything. I've also tried to disable Classic Context Menus in StartAllBack but that yielded no improvement so at least StartAllBack doesn't seem to conflict with Fly.

Very strange bug.
We already once verified that you were getting the explorer context menu with "Everything" app. I believe there has not been any other big configuration changes in your PC after that.

Yeah it's really weird especially since the context-menu was working fine in Fly for a while and then recently it just crashed with newer versions.

I'm having this issue too after the latest version, loving the new update by the way, leaps of progress.
Anyway, same as Skyyblaze, right click on any open image makes the pointer show the loading hourglass, half a second later the application force closes with no error.

snip, still win 11 pro, context menu worked one release ago.

Actually there were some small modifications related to context menu in this release. I coded to remove Cut and Delete from the windows explorer context menu..

@clowngiver , Can you please check with this portable version to make sure the problem is not with the installer? There is no need to uninstall the current Fly. Just unzip this 7z file to a folder and run FlyPhotos.exe directly from there.
