Notepad3 Build 916RC Released.

@RaiKoHoff @hpwamr I created an RC page for Notepad3 version 3.18.303.916. Hope you guys like it. I will do my best to upload RCs a week before the official releases, giving Notepad3 users time to test and report bugs. Most recent changes include:

• Fix: Swap clipboard while pasting into selection.
• New: About Box (RichEdit library 2.0)
• Enh: Pressing F3 at Find/Replace dialog performs a find and switches focus to main window.
• Change: Accelerator Keys: (Alt+0: Toggle Transparency), (Alt+Shift+N: Launch new empty window).
• Fix: Activation of Undo TB-Icon on operations, that can't be undone.
• Fix: Onigmo: use CR (\r) as mono line-break symbol too.
• Fix: Format number with thousand seperator and digit grouping acording to regional settings.
• Fix: Integration of "tellenc" encoding detection ideas.
• Fix: Use Windows regional ANSI Code Page settings for fallback in case of file encoding detection failure (instead of default encoding for created files).
• Fix: Use all ASCII line breaks for line termination ($) meta char.
• Fix: Onigmo backward search.

Thank you for testing this RC version and all these functions, the goal being to discover as many hidden bugs as possible before the Final version normally scheduled for March 12th ! (New release date: #395)

2. Keep the old About dialog. Couple of links to website(s) with full info will do, there is no need to incorporate scroll and click adventure into it.

What are your "Display Settings" ?
I tested it on a "Desktop" and on a "Laptop" with these settings;

• Size of text: "100%" and "125%"
• Resolution: "1920x1080" and "1366x768"
• Orientation : "Landscape"

@Hydro-Elf uses non standard System Font settings for Title Bar, Dialog text, etc.. Please provide the information needed to reproduce this issue.

@hpwamr : On Win10, the simple changing of System Fonts has been turned off by Microsoft, it has to be done via Registry settings(!). Meanwhile there are tools available, wrapping the operations to be applied to the Registry using a convenient dialog. (Note: I didn't test the referenced utility, it seems to be harmless regarding VirusTotal scan - as always: before changing Registry settings, make a backup and be careful. It seems the tool creates a backup before performing any changes).

All settings are standard, except for font size (medium, 125%). With 100% text size it looks normal, so the corruption comes from font size.

Okay, I am not able to reproduce this issue on my Windows 10 machine (Display scaling to 125%).
I delivered a hot-fix (PR #405) to @rizonesoft addressing this issue (enhancement for RichText control regarding tabulator settings). Hope that it will fix this issue at least for moderate system font size scaling for the upcoming release.

I've tested it also with a size of text: "100%" and "125%" without issue. 😕
Now, I tested the version 924 too. 👍

924 works.
What you say about Win10 - no issues or unable to reproduce - could be due to version. 2016 LTSB gave me these pics
