SEND TO STREMIO

This app acts as a middleman that lets you share an IMDb link right to Send to Stremio where the data (title/type) will be parsed and then added to your Stremio library via the Stremio API.

I made this app because I prefer to find movies on IMDb rather than use the Stremio UI.

Finding something on IMDb, then opening Stremio, searching for it, adding to my Library gets a bit tedious especially if I am adding multiple movies/shows or haven't decided exactly what to watch but may want to watch some later.

I also don't want to use Trakt, I want this done on-demand.

HOW TO USE:

• Find something you want to add to your library on IMDb (You can use google too, and share the IMDb link from there. See the end of demo for that part.)
• Select SHARE then select Send to Stremio app on the list.
• Title is added to Stremio
• Repeat

THINGS TO KNOW:

THERE IS NO APP ICON:

There is nothing to do within the app so there is no app icon. To uninstall it, go to Settings -> Apps -> Send to Stremio -> Uninstall

APP PERMISSIONS:

This app will ask for NOTIFICATION PERMISSIONS when you first install. It needs it to send a notification with the success message. THIS IS OPTIONAL so feel free to say NO, but you wont have any indication that the title was added or if there was an error.

Example of Notifications:

I will try to bring back pop up messages but since it runs in the background, that makes things harder. You will only see a pop-up toast message during login and when sending, as those do happen in foreground.

IMDb SHARE LINK:

DO NOT use the built in Share link on IMDB. You need to share from your browser. The built in IMDb Share link does not offer the Send to Stremio link as it is part of the website and has no idea what apps are on your phone.
