UI Animation Player

Make UI animations in the Inspector, without writing code. Built for Unity's UI (UGUI) on top of DOTween Pro.

You give a UI object a list of named animations, such as Show, Hide, Press or Attention. Each one is built from simple steps like "fade in over a quarter of a second" or "grow from 80% to full size". Then you play them by name: from a button's On Click, when another animation finishes, or with one line of code.

Show
  1. Fade in 0.25s
  2. ...while growing 0.25s (runs at the same time as step 1)

What it can do

  • Move, scale, rotate, resize, recolour and fade anything on a Canvas
  • Punch and shake effects that settle back where they started
  • Move along curved or zig-zag paths, drawn and edited in the Scene view
  • Play sounds at exact points in an animation
  • Animate shader values, for things like fullscreen transitions
  • Animate a number, colour or text on any script: score counters, typewriter text, health bars
  • Preview everything in edit mode, without pressing Play
  • Turn a Show into a matching Hide with one right-click
  • Share one set of animations across many objects, and retune them all in one place

Reading these pages

The pages are written for anyone who wants to make animations, programmer or not. Where there's more to say for the technically curious, it's tucked into a block like this one, closed by default:

Under the hood

Click one of these to see why something works the way it does: which Unity or DOTween behaviour is involved, what was measured, and what would break if it changed. You never need to open one to use the tool.

Every field in the Inspector also has a tooltip. Hover any label for a short explanation.
