How can I update self-hosted OpenWA to latest version on github?

Hi, I installed OpenWA using docker on my pc and using cloudflare tunnel to connect my CRM to it. How can I update to latest version when the code is updated on github?

The shipped compose files build OpenWA from the source tree, so an update is a rebuild rather than a pull. From the directory you cloned:

Database migrations run automatically on boot. Do not use docker compose down --volumes: that deletes the data volume with your session profiles and API keys.

New versions are announced on the repository's Releases page; each release carries its CHANGELOG section. Upgrades are cumulative, so you can jump straight to the latest, but read the entries in between for anything marked breaking. The full runbook is in docs/14-migration-guide.md and docs/11-operational-runbooks.md (both freshened in #1450, which also fixed the version check above to pass the API key; without it the version field is omitted).

If you would rather pull a prebuilt image, write your own compose file with image: ghcr.io/rmyndharis/openwa:<tag>; an update is then docker compose pull && docker compose up -d.

Nothing here is specific to a Cloudflare tunnel; the proxy-related settings are environment variables and survive an upgrade.
