ADD-IN ERROR on Excel sidebar

I followed the instructions to setup "sideloading" process under Windows 11 (in my case). The Add-in got added and call =OAI. and get completions etc.

But every time I open an Excel workbook, I get this attached sidebar error. What am I doing wrong? Thank you, F.

Hi. I've just tried installing on Excel Online and can't reproduce. I don't have time right now to go through the desktop installation steps.

You could try clearing the office cache as described in the uninstallation section of the readme, and then reinstall.

I tried this under Windows 11 and Excel

From the ribbon of any Office host except Outlook, navigate to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Add-in Catalogs.
Select the checkbox Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache.

Anyway, while this issue persists, I give it a rest and I'll be using Excel Labs instead.

Might be related to the manifest.xml. Right now when I try to validate with npx office-addin-manifest validate -p manifext.xml I get:

DesktopFormFactor seems to be expecting an ExtensionPoint child.

I've updated the manifest DesktopFormFactor to this which is passing validation now but haven't tested it:
