Contributor Crawl is a fun, Frogger-inspired game where you navigate your chosen emoji character through a challenging obstacle course filled with words like "trademark fees," "sponsorships," and "core contributions."

Each level increases in difficulty, testing your reflexes and determination to prove your commitment to the WordPress® project!

• Emoji Selection: Choose from 4 unique emoji characters to play the game.
• Dynamic Gameplay:
  • Level 1 starts slow and easy, perfect for beginners.
  • Subsequent levels progressively increase speed and add more obstacles.
• Custom Obstacles:
  • Navigate words that represent challenges contributors face, such as "money" and "first born."
• Sound Effects:
  • Collision sound, level-up notifications, and engaging background music.
• Lives & Scoring:
  • Track your score and remaining lives throughout the game.
• Responsive Difficulty:
  • Gradual increase in speed and word density to keep the game exciting.

Gameplay Instructions 🎮

1. Launch the Game:
   • Run the game using Python (see installation instructions below).
2. Select Your Emoji:
   • Use the number keys (1-4) to choose an emoji character.
3. Controls:
   • Move your emoji with the arrow keys:
     • Up: Move forward.
     • Down: Move backward.
     • Left/Right: Move sideways.
4. Objective:
   • Reach the top of the screen without colliding with any words.
   • Avoid obstacles to preserve your 3 lives.
5. Progression:
   • Survive each level as it gets harder and more crowded with obstacles.
6. Game Over:
   • The game ends when all lives are lost.

Requirements

• Python 3.8+ installed on your system.
• Pygame library.

Installation

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-username/contributor-crawl.git
cd contributor-crawl

2. Install the dependencies:

pip install pygame

python app.py
