Use Collections to group related 3D models for projects, themes, or sets. Collections help you curate without cluttering your main library by auto-hiding included models outside the collection view.
- A named set of models you choose from your library
- Designed for curation: models in collections are hidden from general views by default, but always visible inside the collection
- Models can belong to multiple collections
- Select one or more models in the grid
- Click the “Collection” button in the selection toolbar
- Create and save your new collection
- You’ll jump into the collection view where the selected models are shown (including any that are hidden)
- Enter selection mode (click a card, or use the checkboxes) and choose the “Collection” button
- Give it a name (optional: add tags/category/cover if supported in your build)
- Save: all selected models are added and auto-hidden from general views
- Click a collection card to open it
- Hidden models are always visible inside the collection view so you can work with your full set
- Open a model’s details (click a card → opens the model details drawer)
- Scroll below the Model Preview and use:
- “Add to Collection” → pick the target collection
- The model is added and immediately marked hidden outside collections
- Open the model’s details drawer
- Below the Model Preview, use:
- “Remove from Collection” → choose which collection to remove it from
- If the model doesn’t belong to any collection after removal, it will be unhidden automatically
- Open the collection you want to delete (or use the collection management UI)
- Delete it
- Auto-reconcile: any models that are no longer in any collection are unhidden
- On add: models added to a collection are marked hidden
- In collection view: hidden models are shown by default so your set is complete
- In general views: hidden models are suppressed by default to reduce clutter
- On removal: a model stays hidden as long as it belongs to at least one collection; if it belongs to none, it’s unhidden automatically
- On delete: after deleting a collection, models that aren’t in any remaining collection are unhidden
Tip: If you can’t find a model in “All Models,” it may be hidden because it’s in a collection. Open the collection to view it, or enable any “Show hidden” filter/toggle (if available) to surface it.
- Can a model be in multiple collections?
- Yes. It remains hidden from general views until it’s removed from all collections.
- Why don’t I see “Remove from Collection” for a model?
- That action is disabled if the model isn’t part of any collection yet.
- Why don’t I see “Add to Collection” enabled?
- You need at least one collection created first. Create a collection from selection mode, then add the model.
- Where are the add/remove buttons?
- In the Model Details drawer, just below the Model Preview.
- “Add to Collection” is disabled
- There are no collections yet. Create one from the grid’s selection toolbar (“Collection” button) and try again.
- “Remove from Collection” is disabled
- The model doesn’t belong to any collection. Open a collection that includes it or add it first.
- A model disappeared from the main grid
- It’s likely hidden because it was added to a collection. Open the collection or enable any “Show hidden” filter (if your view supports it).
If you have feedback or need a bulk workflow (e.g., bulk remove from the active collection), open an issue—those enhancements are easy to layer on.
