After discussions with Steven, I wanted to update this guide, so that users would add the following disclosure to the top of their document:

AI usage

This document adheres to the AI contribution policy found here. If you find any errors in the instructions, please let us know.

Author checklist (Completed by original Author)

  • Good fit for the Rocky Linux project? Title and Author Metatags inserted ?
  • If applicable, steps and instructions have been tested to work
  • Initial self-review to fix basic typos and grammar completed

Rocky Documentation checklist (Completed by Rocky team)

  • 1st Pass (Document is good fit for project and author checklist completed)
  • 2nd Pass (Technical Review - check for technical correctness)
  • 3rd Pass (Detailed Editorial Review and Peer Review)
  • Final approval (Final Review)

Update AI usage disclosure section per docs team feedback

Replace the verbose AI usage disclosure at the top of the document
with the standardized AI usage section that links to the AI
contribution policy.

Add AI usage section template for contributors

Expand the AI usage subsection to instruct contributors to add the
standardized AI usage disclosure after the front matter when using
AI tools. Also fix the AI contribution policy link to use a relative
path.
