Merges dev branch containing PR #46 (Open Graph/Twitter Card meta tags) to trigger automated release pipeline for v1.24.0.

Changes from dev

Social media meta tags (src/app.html)

  • 9 Open Graph tags (og:type, og:url, og:title, og:description, og:image + dimensions/alt, og:site_name)
  • 6 Twitter Card tags (twitter:card, twitter:url, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image + alt)
  • static/og-image.png: 1200x630px image (225KB, black background, app logo)

Release automation

Semantic-release will detect the feat: commit and:

  • Bump version 1.23.0 → 1.24.0 (minor)
  • Update CHANGELOG.md
  • Create draft release → build all platforms → publish or cleanup on failure
  • Deploy to GitHub Pages
<!-- Example of added meta tags -->
<meta property="og:image" content="https://rodrigogs.github.io/whats-reader/og-image.png" />
<meta property="og:image:width" content="1200" />
<meta property="og:image:height" content="630" />
Original prompt

Merge dev branch into main to trigger the automated release process.

This is not a coding task - simply create a PR from the existing dev branch to main branch. The dev branch already contains all the changes ready for release:

This merge will trigger the automated release workflow which will:

  1. Analyze commits with semantic-release
  2. Bump version to v1.24.0 (feat commit = minor version bump)
  3. Update CHANGELOG.md
  4. Create a draft GitHub release
  5. Trigger build workflow for all platforms (macOS, Windows, Linux)
  6. Deploy to GitHub Pages

No code changes are needed - just create the PR to merge existing branches.

The previous approach failed because dev branch is protected and requires PRs.
Most elegant solution for syncing protected branches:
- Industry standard (175k+ repos use it)
- No PAT required, works with GITHUB_TOKEN
- Handles branch protection automatically
- Idempotent (updates existing PR)
- Auto-deletes branch after merge
Extract repeated UI patterns into reusable components:

- Collapsible: Expandable sections with animated chevron
- FeatureItem: Badge list items (numbered/icon variants)
- Modal + ModalHeader + ModalContent: Dialog overlays with ESC key handling
- Dropdown + DropdownHeader + DropdownSearch + DropdownList: Floating menus

Reduced +page.svelte by 92 lines while improving maintainability.

* feat: add Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags for social media sharing

Added comprehensive social media meta tags to src/app.html:
- Open Graph tags (og:type, og:url, og:title, og:description, og:image, og:image:width, og:image:height, og:image:alt, og:site_name)
- Twitter Card tags (twitter:card, twitter:url, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image, twitter:image:alt)

The tags are placed after app meta tags and before security meta tags. The og-image.png file (1200x630px) will need to be created separately and placed in static/ directory.

* feat: add Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags with og-image

- Added comprehensive Open Graph meta tags (9 tags) for Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit
- Added Twitter Card meta tags (6 tags) for Twitter/X support
- Created og-image.png (1200x630px, 415KB) using app icon from static/
- Image uses WhatsApp brand color (#075e54) with app icon and title
- All tags properly positioned between app meta and security sections
- Includes helpful comment about og-image requirements
- All quality checks passed (lint, types, format, build)

* fix: recreate og-image with better visibility and contrast

The previous og-image had poor contrast with the icon blending into the background. Recreated with:
- Proper icon visibility using shadow effect for depth
- Better contrast between icon and background
- No opaque white boxes or artifacts
- Clean, professional appearance
- Still 1200x630px, PNG, under 5MB (276KB)

Co-authored-by: rodrigogs <2362425+rodrigogs@users.noreply.github.com>

* fix: replace og-image with clean, natural design

Completely redesigned og-image to look natural without weird backgrounds or opacity issues:
- Simple hand-drawn chat bubble icon in white
- Clean WhatsApp green background (#075e54)
- No more opaque boxes, rounded rectangles, or artificial-looking elements
- Professional, minimalist design (60KB)
- 1200x630px PNG as required

Co-authored-by: rodrigogs <2362425+rodrigogs@users.noreply.github.com>

* fix: use actual app logo for og-image

Using the real app logo (web-app-manifest-512x512.png) directly without any manipulations:
- Clean WhatsApp green background
- Actual app logo centered at 280x280px
- White title and subtitle text
- No custom drawings or weird effects
- Simple, professional design (236KB)
- 1200x630px PNG as required

Co-authored-by: rodrigogs <2362425+rodrigogs@users.noreply.github.com>

* fix: recreate og-image with black background

Changed background from WhatsApp green to black as requested:
- Black background (#000000) for better contrast and dark mode compatibility
- Same app logo and layout
- White title text and light gray subtitle
- Clean, professional appearance (228KB)
- 1200x630px PNG as required

Co-authored-by: rodrigogs <2362425+rodrigogs@users.noreply.github.com>

* docs: clarify og-image.png already exists in comment

Updated comment from "should be placed" to "is located in" to clarify that the og-image.png file already exists in the static/ directory, avoiding confusion for future developers.
