Installation & Requirements

📋 Prerequisites

Ensure your client environment meets the following requirements before installing:

• Minecraft: 26.1.2
• Fabric Loader: >= 0.19.5
• Fabric API: Installed in your .minecraft/mods directory.
• Java Runtime: Java 25 or newer.

📥 Installation Steps

1. Navigate to the Releases tab.
2. Download itemdatabase-1.4.1.jar.
3. Locate your Minecraft game directory:
   • Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods
   • Linux: ~/.minecraft/mods
4. Place itemdatabase-1.4.1.jar inside the mods folder.
5. Launch Minecraft using your Fabric profile.

🚀 First Launch

On startup, the mod initiates an asynchronous background request to pre-load database entries and begins streaming required texture sprites to your local disk cache. This prevents freezing or hitching when opening the database screen in-game.
