Option for indenting with tabs instead of spaces

For the sake of accessibility, I'm trying to slowly move to indenting as many types of files as I can with tabs instead of spaces. Would it be possible to add another option for tabs vs spaces? Perhaps -i / --indent-type?

I fully agree that tabs should have won the tabs-vs-spaces war, but we also have to acknowledge that tabs have officially lost that war. From https://www.jwz.org/doc/tabs-vs-spaces.html:

the best way to solve the technical issues is to mandate that the ASCII #9 TAB character never appear in disk files: program your editor to expand TABs to an appropriate number of spaces before writing the lines to disk.

(Practically, adding support for tabs will complicate or even duplicate the test suite, which currently consists of spaces only.)

I hope you don't mind that I close this issue as wontfix. If you (or others) insist, I'm willing to reconsider.
