ruby-1.8.7-p374: undefined symbol: rb_ary_subseq

We have the following build error on RDoc on the ruby 1.8 build matrix in travis: https://travis-ci.org/rdoc/rdoc/jobs/13126957

I think this is due to the following commit: c43068f

There are other problems on master so I could not build, but it is independent of my commit.

I think @tenderlove has already backported. The last big backport broke the C builds and I've got a branch up to try to get that working called fix-broken-merge. I don't have it finishing the last step where it copies in the linked .bundle file tho, so I need someone else who is more up on rake-compiler to take a whack at it.

No, the fix is available at eregon@e716e9a should be merged on both master and 1-4-stable.
