Compatibility issues with Ruby 3.4.7

I was trying to use the tk gem and it brings up a large list of issues. I'm not sure if there's something to do with the compatibility of Ruby and C code. Is the Tk gem not compatible with the latest version of Ruby and are there any plans for getting working for newer versions?

For context, I'm using version 3.4.7 of Ruby and a long list of errors occur when trying to do bundle install after adding the tk gem in my Gemfile

Can you provide the full build output? It's possible you are using a compiler that raises errors for code that previously compiled successfully, such as one targetting C23 by default. With Clang 19, it does compile successfully, though there are quite a few warnings. On a hunch, you could try compiling with CFLAGS="--std=c17" and see if that fixes it.

This is fixed in the master branch (see #68), it just hasn't been released. I'll try to get a release out this month, after #76 is merged for Ruby 4.0 support.
