Summary

• Updated the notebook cell creation default so that when no language is provided, new cells are created as markdown instead of js, which fixes the “new document starts as JS” behavior. app/src/lib/notebookData.tsL635-L649
• Added a regression test that verifies appendCodeCell() creates a markdown cell by default for a new notebook model. app/src/lib/notebookData.test.tsL220-L236
• Committed the change with DCO sign-off and created a follow-up PR via the make_pr tool (Follow-up: default new notebook cells to markdown).

Fixed in commit b0f02d2. The 'Add first cell' button in empty notebooks now creates a markdown (MARKUP) cell instead of a JS code cell.

Changes:

• Added createMarkupCell() and appendMarkupCell() methods to NotebookData
• Updated the empty notebook prompt in Actions.tsx to call appendMarkupCell() instead of appendCodeCell()

The 'Add cell' button at the bottom of existing notebooks still defaults to code cells — only the initial cell in a new document defaults to markdown.
