Sigh. Need to talk about the AI policy some more. Philipp and I are hoping you will except https://github.com/FlamingosProject/flamingos-preview from the new AI policy. This is a refresh and extension of https://github.com/rust-embedded/rust-raspberrypi-OS-tutorials that we've been working on for a while, increasingly using AI to accelerate the process. We hope to eventually put this back in Similarly, I am using AI a lot with the Discovery Book, and hope to do so with other RE documentation. I'm not using it for bulk authoring: it's mostly things like chapter renumbering and syntax fixes. But again this accelerates the work substantially. I personally think that the old rules — both sides use common sense about what is allowed, maintainers are free to ignore or reject anything they find objectionable — was a much better blanket AI policy. But that's something we can discuss I guess. |

The Awesome Embedded Rust list traffic continues to grow. It probably needs an explicit lead maintainer or a team or something; our latency in responding is pretty bad right now. We also probably need a stronger policy about what goes there, and what kind of endorsement (if any) being there is. |

We discussed this in the meeting and the feeling is that the change isn't significant enough to justify a breaking release, but could be considered alongside other breaking changes for a future release. |
