Thanks for the feedback. The delay setting makes sense, I'll add it to my stash backlog. As for window animation, unfortunately macOS has no available APIs for anything different. Maybe someday! |

legend. you'll need to add a 'buy me a coffee' button if this goes through, cheers! |

How about a label (displaying the window's name) on a stashed window? |

Thanks for your prompt reply, Ryan! The problem is that I'd like to be able to identify the stashed window, and colors won't suffice for that (at least not for me). I don't have a problem with rotated text (that's the solution I was thinking of), but if you're averse to that, can you think of another way to identify it? I know that there are already a lot of options associated with stashing windows … |

Would it be possible to re-arrange stashed windows? At times, I accidently unstash an app, and I don't want to unstash all so that I re-stash per the arrangement that I remember. Colours alone take a bit of time to remember which colour is what application etc. Easier for me to commit to memory the arrangement of apps. At present the colours are just stating that there's an app stashed, but I don't know what it is or what it holds. Many thanks for this awesome app. |

I had this same exact request at #567 Stash is such a killer feature for periodic windows like terminals and AI agents, wish it was fleshed out some more. Let me know if you guys know of an app that takes the stash idea to the next level. While not quite the same, I found Tangrid which has a slick grouped tabs implementation. |

Hi Rectanglers! I'm also finding Stashing an amazingly fast way to move in/out of distracting apps, specially messaging/email. Similar with AI agents running in parallel you want to have the quickest way possible to switch between them when they signal they need attention. So i'm stashing several windows at right (messaging) and left (AI agents, mostly CLI running in terminals). I'm having troubles finding which stash tab correspond to the window i want to unstash, given colors seem to be "random" and position is not super consistent (i guess it depends on stashing order?). So a way to identify stashed windows would get stashing into a way more usable feature. My ideal would be to have stashed tabs include the app's icon and badge count similar to what the dock does. If this is not possible due to stash tabs limitations maybe a keyboard shortcut can be used to reveal more of each stashed window at its tab to make it easier to recognise them. THank you! |

I'm in the middle of working on a number of Stash improvements, as noted in #901, and I've just added the configurable delay to the cursor leaving the window area in this intermediate release: v3.86. My plan is to get a few more Stash updates and polish in before pushing a release to the update channel, but feel free to give it a try as it should be stable. |

This works great! Now I don't have to be careful that my cursor doesn't move out of the window when selecting text quickly, etc. Thank you! |

^ Please add a delay setting for when the cursor leaves the stashed window, it feels natural to move the cursor back to whatever you were doing rather than back to the screen edge to dismiss, only drama is there's no delay setting so its jerky. Ideally I should be able to leave the stash window, hesitate and go back to it without having to go back to the screen edge to expose it.
Some additional animation settings would be great too, not sure whats possible here - a window transparency effect like blur in / out would be ideal.
Stash is by far my favourite feature, makes working on a laptop screen a breeze and feels like a choice now rather than a compromise to ditch my monitor and go work in a cafe!
