Icons for Custom Size & Position Layouts

Perhaps this would be gold-plating, but I would appreciate the ability to provide or create custom icons for my Custom Size & Position entries.

In some cases generating it might be more straightforward than others.

Fixing this is on my todo list. I wasn't planning on allowing provided/custom icons for it - I was planning on just generating from your configuration and trying to cover all of the scenarios that made sense, although conveying moving to other displays (or portrait displays) is difficult with a small icon. Do you have a specific example where generating it from your configuration wouldn't be sufficient? I'm not opposed to the idea of allowing user configuration of the icon.

My custom sizes are fairly simple. No doubt generated icons would cover them. I was just envisioning the edge case stuff across displays that could get more complex.

I use window throw for 1/6ths, and have the snap panel setup for 1/3rds.

If I had custom icons, It would be a lot more useable to add my custom sizes to the snap panel. (generated would be ok too).

I'd love to also have snap panel be setup for 1/4, 1/5, and 1/7. At that point, I'd need either multiple rows, or colors or something to keep it straight. Custom icons would solve a lot of this for me. I'd do something like red tint for 1/4, blue tint for 1/5, green tint for 1/3, and grayscale for 1/7th. Then they could all be in a row in a single snap panel and I'd still be able to find what I'm looking for.

Generated icons, especially if I could apply a tinting, would work for me.

Good timing, I've been thinking through the generated icons and haven't quite settled on how to differentiate certain aspects of them, like similar sizes/positions or specified displays, etc - the color idea would solve this in a pleasant way. I have some bug fixes that have bumped in front in priority, but am hoping to have this out soon. Perhaps I'll still end up going the route of allowing custom icons altogether.

Even though v3.78 has icon generation, I haven't added the tinting or the custom icon selection yet. Still in the works, though.

In v3.78, custom icons are generated. (Although I've found one issue with multiple displays that I'll be fixing in the coming release)
