Note Quiz Engine 0.3.2 — Language selection and portable ZIP

Adds an explicit quiz generation language setting with Japanese, English, and source-note options. The selected language is sent directly in the prompt and overrides provider defaults.

Also includes the portable release ZIP generated by pnpm run package.

Install

1. Download note-quiz-engine.zip below (not Source code).
2. Extract it into your vault's .obsidian/plugins/ folder.
3. Restart Obsidian and enable Note Quiz Engine.

Validation: TypeScript build, ESLint, 225 tests, startup smoke test with another quiz processor, and public ZIP extraction check.

Note Quiz Engine 0.3.1 — Startup fix

Fixes a startup failure when another plugin (such as Markdown Quiz) already uses the quiz code block language.

New questions use dedicated note-quiz blocks. Existing quiz notes remain playable using Start quiz in the note toolbar.

Install or update

1. Download note-quiz-engine.zip below (not Source code).
2. Extract the note-quiz-engine folder into your vault’s .obsidian/plugins/ directory. When updating, replace main.js, manifest.json and styles.css; keep data.json.
3. Restart Obsidian and enable Note Quiz Engine.

Validation: TypeScript build, ESLint, 222 tests, and bundled startup smoke test with another quiz processor already registered. The reported conflict is reproduced with 0.3.0 and passes with this fix.

Startup fix available

Version 0.3.0 can fail to load when another quiz plugin is enabled. Please use version 0.3.1 or later from the latest release.

Download the installable note-quiz-engine.zip asset, extract it, and place the note-quiz-engine folder in your vault's .obsidian/plugins/ directory.
