In parts of the world where different time formats are in use, the current date format may be misleading at times.

The date and time format should be user-definable either by a settings GUI or as an environment variable

The date format varies depending on the language selected in the front end.

Can we please get the option to change the date and time format? It is showing the non standard American way for date and time (MM/DD/YYYY and 12 hour clock). How do I change it to either the ISO8601 standard or the European way with a normal 24H clock?

The date format displayed here depends on the language selected in the frontend. For example, if the language is set to German, the date is displayed here in the dd.mm.yyyy format and uses a 24-hour clock.

I understand that, but the language I select does not correspond to the way I want the time to display (ISO8601 standard). It would be great if I could select myself how I want it displayed rather than being told how it is being displayed without a way to change that.
