Anchor Hub is a mobile app to monitor your boat position and you can set an alert notification if your boat moves to outside of allowed circular position. You can save the monitoring record for your own history and also share them to others with rates and notes. This app includes the feature to search the shared records on a map. This will be useful for searching an anchorage when a boater is exploring in unfamiliar water. This app also includes a way to monitor a boat position remotely. This feature requires 2 devices with this app installed and the internet connections to both devices.

- Please enable Location and Notification on the app’s settings.
- Location must be set to “Always” to stay on anchor watch even if the app gets moved to background.
- Saved records are shared and searchable on the map. You can opt not to share the watch records to others by not saving them.
- The information shown to others is very limited. The only identifiable one is “Boat Name” at the moment, and it is blank by default. The title and the note are free text and editable at any moment. Please use them wisely so that these records can help others.
- There is a flag button to report the anchor records if you have a concern. Let’s keep this community safe together.
- If you sign in to this app using Google or Apple, your data will be connected to your identity so that you can sign out and sign in anytime and keep your data manageable by yourself.
I basically built an app that I'm going to use myself, and that's exactly what this app is. I started my sailing life without having a boat slip and I relied on an anchor watch app from day one. There are many similar apps but I often found some features are limited to paid users, and it was difficult to find the one I like. Then, I started this project thinking this app would be easy enough to build on my own. If I can build the one I really like, then I hope many boaters out there may like this app as well.
Should we expand the details we can share for anchoring records? This may be helpful when searching for anchorage for your particular boat and the weather condition.
