Status bar icons. The seconds display for the clock doesn't work.

Your application works for me through integration with Shizuku.

Unfortunately, the seconds feature on the watch doesn't work. I turn it on, but nothing happens. Other status bar settings work, though.

Seconds are not displayed even after restarting the device.

This is a limitation of the OS of your device being the OEM probably modified the statusbar properties too much to not work with AOSP. The Essentials app does not really add it's own implementation. It only changes the AOSP settings property.
