Installing Google play Services in emulator (Genymotion)

  1. Open the emulator (not as an admin)

  2. Navigate to http://www.teamandroid.com/gapps/ and download the appropriate gapps version for your api (zip file). Quick link for api 21: http://www.devfiles.co/download/R5AHj6Pz/gapps-lp-20141109-signed.zip

  3. Navigate to http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-10-0-84-release/

UPDATED March 18, 2017: latest version Google Play (10.0.84)

  1. Drag and drop both the zip file and the APK file into the emulator and let the emulator install them.

  2. Restart the emulator.

  3. Disable google + in settings -> Apps (under the all tab).
