Transition to Jest

The current testing setup is shaky at best.  I'd love to get a new test Suite setup, either with [Jest](https://github.com/facebook/jest) or maybe [Ava](https://github.com/avajs/ava).  The only requirement is not having to change the current file structure.  Tests should be within their own folders within their modules.
