On windows (at least), if the client stops getting data (either from faulty probe, dead ASIC, USB disconnect, etc), then it freezes, and you are unable to ctrl+c to stop streaming. The only way to recover here is to restart the terminal, which is a pain. And often the scifi will not get stopped correctly in this case, which is another headache.
