SCIFIO reader broken in 2.89.1

After updating to the new scijava-common, I am unable to use our SCIFIO reader written for Micromanager (https://github.com/duderstadt-lab/mars-scifio). When trying to open image or the metadata.txt file using File>Open... in Fiji, I get the error below:

I will continue to investigate. Basically, we can't open any of our data with SCIFIO with the changes in scijava-common.

To reproduce you can also turn SCIFIO on and try to open a TIF. I get the same error.

With SCIFIO off, I don't get the error. Maybe all SCIFIO readers are now broken?

At least, I consistently seems to get this error using File>Open... in Fiji with SCIFIO turned on. Drag and drop of files is still working correctly.
