StreamHive Wiki

StreamHive lets a viewer watch 2 to 6 Twitch channels at once in a single grid, with sane audio and a dedicated multi-channel chat bar, built entirely on Twitch's official Embed API — no scraping, no per-streamer setup.

This wiki covers the product side of the project: the problem it solves, how the features work for a viewer, the high-level architecture, and where the project is headed. For installation and running the app locally, see the README in the main repository.

Note

StreamHive is still under active local development — some pages describe features that are shipped and working today, others describe planned or exploratory work. Each page is explicit about which is which; see Roadmap for the full breakdown.

Pages

  • Why StreamHive — the problem, who it's for, and the design goals
  • Features & Audio Modes — how the grid, the audio modes, and the chat bar work from a viewer's perspective
  • Architecture Overview — stack, key decisions, and why, at a product level
  • Roadmap — what's shipped, what's next, and the honest status of the exploratory SmartVoiceSwitch feature
  • FAQ — Twitch ToS/embed compliance, donations, mobile, and other common questions
