What's the point of having seerr?

I thought having seerr integrates BOTH Plex and Jellyfin. So if you install this, you only need to CHOOSE ONE either Plex or Jellyfin. However, I'm using both and have each different use case. If you want both, you need to still 2 instances of seerr which is why I have overseerr and jellyseerr. I thought seerr will merge and solve this.

This is just the same as having both overseerr and jellyseerr. Just a new name. Nothing new here. This is my personal opinion.

Read this. Literally unifying both. Jellyseerr was a fork of overseerr with support for plex, jellyfin, emby. Overseerr supported plex. Jellyseerr had many additional features too. We just combined.

Literally nowhere this was said. You can choose to stay on jellyseerr and overseerr then but none if it will be ever maintained or developed or updated. Your choice.

What its saying is its bringing jellyfin and emby support to overseerr users to set it up as either. Something overseerr never supported.

If you're dissatisfied with what seerr brings, feel free to not use it. We are all volunteers working on our free time to provide you a free software taking time out of personal lives. We are not a company nor do we owe anyone anything. Just my opinion.

To make bringing new features and bug fixes better and faster, we combined both projects instead of both developing on its own so development is faster and can bring in more features quicker including multiple server support which if you actually took the time to search and look at the feature requests, you can see that its on our roadmap as a planned feature.

What it says is what it brings for overseerr users. A support to use alternative media servers which weren't possible with overseerr and only jellyseerr. It also states it brings postgres support and stuff. Things that jellyseerr already had. For ages. Meaning its not bringing what you described. Its very clear to me in my opinion.

This is github. You can literally find it pinned in issues where feafure request. Its literally what github is for.
