How to run this project in Ubuntu 18.04

We can run this project in Ubuntu 18.04 using docker.

Install docker

sudo apt update
sudo apt install apt-transport-https ca-certificates curl software-properties-common
curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add -
sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu bionic stable"
sudo apt update
sudo apt-cache policy docker-ce
sudo apt install docker-ce

Make sure Docker is installed correctly

sudo systemctl status docker

Install ROS in docker

sudo docker pull ros:kinetic-robot

How to start docker

sudo docker run -it ros:kinetic-robot // it: Enable keyboard input

After starting docker

Install pip3

curl -sS https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py >>setup.py
python3 setup.py

Install some useful package

pip3 install rospkg catkin_pkg
pip3 install catkin_tools
pip3 install numpy
pip3 install pyserial
pip3 install rospy

Clone out project

https://github.com/seonghapark/cuav.git
cd cuav/GUAVA
catkin_make
