Upgrade Instructions

Before Upgrading

  1. Backup Your Data

    mysqldump -u [username] -p [database_name] > seopanel_backup.sql

  2. Backup Your Files

    tar -czf seopanel_backup.tar.gz /path/to/seopanel/

Upgrade Process

  1. Download SEO Panel 5.0.0
  2. Extract files and upload to your server (overwrite existing files)
  3. Ensure config/sp-config.php permissions are 666 during upgrade
  4. Visit: http://yourdomain.com/seopanel/install/
  5. Follow the upgrade wizard instructions
  6. Change config/sp-config.php permissions back to 644
  7. Clear browser cache and login

After Upgrading

  1. Update API Credentials

    • Navigate to: Admin Panel > System Settings > MOZ Settings
    • Update to Moz API v3 credentials
    • Add DataForSEO API credentials if available

  2. Verify Settings

    • Check all system settings
    • Verify proxy configurations
    • Test email settings
    • Review cron job configurations

  3. Security

    • Change default admin password if not already done
    • Remove install directory: rm -rf install/

Docker Installation

SEO Panel 5.0.0 now includes improved Docker support:

Known Issues & Limitations

  1. Moz API: Moz API v3 requires updated credentials - old v2 keys will not work
  2. DataForSEO: Optional but recommended for better rank checking accuracy
  3. Browser Compatibility: Optimized for modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  4. PHP Requirements: PHP 7.4+ recommended, PHP 8.0+ supported

Deprecated Features

  • Alexa Rank services (discontinued by Amazon)
  • seofreetools.net references removed
  • Legacy bootstrap versions
  • Moz API v2 support

Minimum Requirements

  • PHP: 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.0+ recommended)
  • MySQL: 5.6 or higher (MySQL 8.0+ recommended)
  • Web Server: Apache 2.4+ or Nginx
  • PHP Extensions: CURL, PDO, MySQLi, GD, mbstring
  • Memory: 256MB minimum (512MB recommended)
  • Disk Space: 500MB minimum

  • PHP 8.1+
  • MySQL 8.0+
  • Apache with mod_rewrite enabled
  • SSL certificate for HTTPS
  • Cron job access for automated tasks
