Releases: sewandev/Reverbic
Reverbic v1.5.6
What's new in v1.5.6
This release rounds out the playback controls and gives the settings a serious tidy-up, on top of several reliability fixes.
Highlights
- Next / previous track:
Ctrl+Right/Ctrl+Leftnow skip tracks across every source — YouTube (within the current context or mix), radio (the list you played from, or the active playlist) and Spotify (native queue with history, or remote via the Web API). The shortcut shows in the Ambient Mode bar and the help overlay. - Terminal title shows what's playing: the window/tab title reflects the active source (e.g.
Reverbic v1.5.6 Radio) and falls back to just the version when nothing is playing. - Cleaner settings: Ambient Mode and Overlay each open in their own pop-up (like the theme picker) and are now separate sections; options that depend on another setting are shown disabled instead of appearing and disappearing.
- 20 new dark themes: selectable from a scrollable theme picker with a color preview per theme. The default look is unchanged.
- More reliable: audio recovers instead of crashing on a poisoned stream lock, YouTube auto-recovers its bundled Deno runtime mid-session, and previously-silenced errors are now logged.

Reverbic v1.5.5
What's new in v1.5.5
This release focuses on controlling Reverbic without keeping the interface open and on tidier file storage across operating systems.
Highlights
- Headless CLI (Windows): control radio straight from the command line —
reverbic play <station>,stop, status, volume <0-100>andtoggle. Playback runs in a background process that keeps going after you close the terminal, andreverbicwith no arguments still opens the full interface. - Standard file locations: Reverbic now stores configuration, data and cache in each operating system's standard directories instead of a single
~/.reverbicfolder. Existing installs are migrated automatically on first launch, so nothing is lost.

Reverbic v1.5.4
What's new in v1.5.4
This release brings Reverbic's auto-updater to every desktop platform, adds gapless Spotify playback, and makes the YouTube radio easier to discover — plus a round of cross-platform polish.
Highlights
- Cross-platform auto-update: Reverbic now self-updates on Linux (x86_64) and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), matching the existing Windows updater. Each platform only ever downloads its own build.
- Spotify native crossfade: A new setting blends the end of each track into the next (up to 12 seconds) when using Native playback mode.
- YouTube radio hint: The search tab now shows that you can press Ctrl+R on any video to start an infinite radio, with a clear message when cookies are required.
- Cleaner settings on every OS: Settings are grouped by source (Radio, Spotify, YouTube), and Windows-only options (overlay, ducking, tray, media keys) are hidden on macOS and Linux.
- Fixes & hardening: macOS paste now works, the logo no longer overlaps the game strip, and the vulnerable
rustls-webpkiwas removed from the dependency tree.

Reverbic v1.5.3
What's new in v1.5.3
Version 1.5.3 brings a massive visual overhaul to the Ambient Mode, making it completely modular, customizable, and rich in metadata across all playback sources!
Highlights
- Modular Ambient Mode: The Ambient Mode has been completely refactored. You can now individually toggle the clock, visualizer, progress bar, logo, and recent tracks from the Settings menu to create your perfect layout.
- Rich Station Details: A new dedicated, color-highlighted widget has been added to Ambient Mode for Radio playback, showing country, region, language, codec, bitrate, tags, popularity, and a clickable website.
- Cross-Source Recent Tracks: The recent tracks list in Ambient Mode now tracks your last 5 songs seamlessly across Radio, YouTube, and Spotify.
- YouTube Integration Updates: Ambient Mode now natively labels YouTube sources and intelligently extracts and displays the current video chapter below the title.
- UI & Installer Polish: The main UI now displays dynamic version download progress in the window title. Long titles and artist names in Ambient Mode now wrap elegantly to a second line instead of being cut off. The installer script also received a fix to properly overwrite binaries on re-runs.
