[Feature Request] question unanswered since 2024, antialiasing of MPEG videos option #608

Asking agin, sine my previous issue from 2024 was ignored.., and so was the second part of my recent issue: would it be possible to implement antialiasing option in sfall for the MPEG xvid videos? ( Leave MVE vids as they are, antialias only for Xvid videos)

a.k.a. something similar to what "Zfall" has? since like 5.1.2.0? Thing is, even a simple 1:1 conversion from MVE to AVI with Lanczos2 antialiasing filter enabled in Zfall, makes the video quality suprisingly good.. ( sort of like youtube level upscale)

Now that classic fallouts have flood of new users, due to Amazon TV series, our comunity should encourage them by decent quality of game image. While increased ingame resolution handle the game itself, there should be an option to tackle the same problem about cinematics..

and no, I'm not asking to reverse engineer MVE format (as phobos2077 suggested, would have to be done in order to tackle this), i simply ask that this would work for MPEG videos a.k.a. XVID AVI ones, period. No antialiasing for MVE, as that would indeed be problematic in implementing

and i hope that by now my portfolio of classic fallout video upscales has been recognized, since practically almost all of the most known total cnversion mods have been treated by me, Plus i recently got a friendly soul with a more reasonable hosting mirror (on mega), that ported the videos done up to date, plus some of my minimods, and extra host for Last Hope mod, feel free to consider this, frankly i'd even forgo the 2-column inventory of Zfall, in favor of vanilla branch, if vanilla had the antialias video filtering feature.

evan Zfall says the antialias filtering feature works for MPEG videos only, not the native format videos...

Ofcourse this would be optional, since it's heavily hardware dependant, though evn when playing on a potato such as my rig, I still am able to run it just fine. only some really ancient hardware would have trouble running antialiasing filter..

So any chance of that hapening?
