Not able to add shadcn component

The CLI detected a pnpm-lock.yaml in your project, so it runs pnpm add under the hood — but pnpm isn't installed on your machine (or isn't in PATH). That's exactly what the error says.

Fix 1 — install pnpm (recommended, since the project uses it):

npm install -g pnpm

or via corepack (ships with Node 16.13+):

corepack enable
corepack prepare pnpm@latest --activate

On Windows PowerShell, if global installs fail with an execution-policy error, run once:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser RemoteSigned

Then restart the terminal and re-run npx shadcn@latest add switch.

Fix 2 — if you actually want npm: delete pnpm-lock.yaml (and node_modules), install deps with npm i so package-lock.json appears, then re-run the add command. The CLI auto-detects the package manager from the lockfile.
