npx shadcn@latest add
Adding external packages to apps/web instead packages/ui

How to reproduce

1. Install shadcn using monorepo
2. Go to apps/web folder
3. Run npx shadcn@latest add

I was facing the same issue and my error was that my tsconfig.json files was missing some custom paths that I think the CLI uses. Check them. Your apps' tsconfig files should have something like this

"paths": { "@repo/ui/*": ["../../packages/ui/src/*"] }

And your ui package should have it like this:

"paths": { "@repo/ui/*": ["./src/*"] }
