• Graph View link direction filter — Add All/Direct/Front/Back filter buttons in local Graph View mode. "Direct" shows only links connected to the current file, "Front" shows outgoing links, "Back" shows incoming links. (#434, thanks @substitute5)

Bug fixes

• Wikilink preview respects wikiLinkResolution config — The markdown-it wikilink renderer now calls resolveWikilink() so shortest and absolute modes actually affect the preview <a href>. Also fixes notebook-relative path resolution in preview, empty currentNoteFilePath escaping the notebook root, empty note index on first render in shortest mode, and Windows path separator tie-breaking. • ESM bit-field/lib/render import fix — Add missing .js extension so Node ESM resolver no longer throws ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND. (#436, thanks @dougborg)
• #heading and ^block-id transclusion slicing — Fix ^block-id transclusion not working in @import/markdown-link syntaxes. Fix #heading lookup falling through to full-file render on slug/case mismatch. Fix wikilink embed heading-section and block extraction missing auto-generated slugs. Fix recursive imports sharing HeadingIdGenerator state. Fix URL-encoded paths (my%20origin.md) and fragments (#Filenaming%20conventions) not being decoded. (#438, thanks @marcpbailey)
• Fix markdown export generating image URLs with ?Math.random() query strings — processGraphs() now accepts a cacheBust option (default true). Markdown-to-markdown export passes cacheBust: false so image references like ![](assets/diagram.png) are clean paths without query strings. Also skip the query string on @import image paths when forMarkdownExport is true. Fixes #435.
• Fix MathJax block math ($$...$$) inside HTML table cells losing the $$ delimiters — the html_block post-process was replacing $$...$$ with a MathJax placeholder that the inline $ scanner subsequently re-scanned, consuming the $$ delimiters because $$ starts with $. The placeholder is now protected from inline re-scanning. Fixes vscode-mpe#2302.
• Fix colon fences (:::name) being recognized when indented or inside list items — colon fences are now only recognized at the current block indentation level with no additional leading spaces and only at the top level (not inside lists/blockquotes). An indented :::text is treated as regular text, matching Pandoc's fenced-div behavior. Fixes vscode-mpe#2275.

Improvements

• Suffix-matching in shortest wiki link resolution — [[summary/report]] now resolves to notes whose path ends with that sub-path, disambiguating same-named files in different directories. (#434, thanks @substitute5)
• Replace deprecated temp package with Node built-ins — A minimal drop-in src/lib/temp.ts using node:fs/os/crypto eliminates the temp → rimraf@2 → glob@7 → inflight deprecation chain, removing four deprecation warnings on every install. (#437, thanks @dougborg)
