Volume II (1877–present): is there demand?

The README makes a conditional promise:

Volume II (1877–present) is planned for future development. Most middle school
curricula end with Reconstruction, and most high schools start American history at or
after this point. If there's demand for a middle school adaptation of Volume II,
we'll build it.

This issue is where that demand gets counted. Right now it is being tracked nowhere,
which means the promise has no way to come true.

Why the bar is real, not a brush-off

Volume I is 15 chapters, and all 15 are still Draft — none has reached the bar of
three educator reviews that marks a chapter ready for classroom use. Starting Volume II
before Volume I is reviewed would double the unreviewed surface area and halve the
attention each chapter gets.

So the honest sequencing is: Volume I reaches classroom-ready, then Volume II begins.
Interest recorded here is what makes the case that the second volume is worth the years
it would take.

1. Your role — classroom teacher, homeschool educator, curriculum coordinator,
   librarian, student, parent, something else
2. Grade level(s) you teach or learn in
3. Where your course actually ends — Reconstruction, 1900, WWII, present day
4. What you'd use it for — full adoption, supplement, specific units, primary sources
5. Anything Volume I is missing that matters more to you than Volume II would

What's been asked for so far

• August 2026 — a homeschool teacher asked whether a Volume II adaptation was
  planned.

What a "yes" would need

• Sustained interest from educators who would actually adopt it, not just read it
• Volume I chapters moving toward 3/3 reviews, so the first volume is trustworthy first
• Ideally, a few people willing to review Volume II chapters as they're drafted — the
  same bottleneck that governs Volume I

If you'd be willing to review chapters rather than only read them, say so. That is the
scarcest thing this project needs, and it is what turns a maybe into a yes.
