Get the AttachTo object

from tour.on('show') it does not seem to give any info about the element that was given for its 'attachTo' el, is there a way to get that info? (without writing custom logic for each 'addStep'?

Hi @wookoouk , I've struggled with exactly the same issue a view days ago. The answer lies in the public API of shepherd.

let steps = tour.steps;

  $.each( steps, function ( idx, step ){
      ...
      // step.getAttachedTo() returns the target
      // .element gives you the selected element
      let $target = $( step.getAttachTo().element );
      ...
  } );

I just noticed, I overlooked the prototype getAttachTo(), is is also available from tour.on('show')

so you can do:

tour.on('show', function (event) {
            console.log('show', event.step.getAttachTo());
        });
