Theme-aware contrast that works on gradients

Version 1.0.5 fixes the remaining title and status-message contrast issue on pages whose background is a CSS gradient.

Fixed

• Reads every colour stop in inherited linear-gradient() and radial-gradient() backgrounds instead of treating the body’s solid fallback colour as the visible background.
• Selects the active theme palette colour with the strongest minimum contrast across the complete gradient.
• Keeps gallery cards and messages transparent so Astra and Elementor backgrounds continue to show through.
• Applies the same readable theme colour to video titles, empty states, validation messages, and API errors.

Verification

• Reproduced against the exact Byron Rides purple gradient and confirmed the plugin now selects the theme’s light lavender text.
• Checked at 360 px and 1280 px with long titles and no horizontal overflow.
• PHP, JavaScript, and update metadata validation passed.

No shortcode, playlist, API-key, or saved-setting changes are required.

Playlist names that work the way people expect

You can now use the exact title of a public playlist in the shortcode or Elementor widget. The Byron Rides shortcode below works without modification after updating:

• Resolves exact playlist titles case-insensitively within the nominated channel.
• Uses the YouTube Data API when available, with a public-page fallback when the key is missing or restricted.

Clear, theme-aware messages

Validation, status, and error messages now use the same contrast-aware colour selection as video titles. This fixes unreadable dark text on the Byron Rides purple section while preserving the theme's typography and transparent backgrounds.

Setup guidance and compatibility

• Updated the settings page, shortcode reference, Elementor control, readme, and changelog.
• Tested through WordPress 7.1.3.
• Existing settings, API credentials, playlist IDs, playlist URLs, and gallery layouts are preserved.

🎨 A brighter Shuffles identity

• Reworked the plugin icon as a vivid purple, pink, cyan and yellow vertical-video mark.

👁 Readable titles, automatically

• Fixed dark video titles disappearing against the Byron Rides purple gallery section.
• The gallery now measures its effective background and selects the highest-contrast colour from the active WordPress, Astra or Elementor palette.
• Typography, spacing and transparent cards still inherit the installed theme; only an unreadable title colour is corrected.
