Windows Desktop Icon Alignment Tool
Align selected icons into a grid with a single shortcut key
WiConSort is a system tray utility for Windows that aligns multiple selected desktop icons into a grid layout with a shortcut key (Ctrl+Shift+G).
- Launch
WiConSort.exe— an icon appears in the system tray (notification area) - Select multiple icons on your desktop (drag-select or
Ctrl+Click) - Press

- Download the latest
WiConSort.exefrom the Releases page - Place it in any folder
- Double-click to launch
Right-click the tray icon to see the following menu:

Left-clicking the tray icon also opens the settings window.

| Horizontal Spacing | 25 px | Horizontal gap between icons |
| Vertical Spacing | 20 px | Vertical gap between icons |
| Shortcut Key | Ctrl+Shift+G | Hotkey for alignment |
Settings are saved to %APPDATA%\WiConSort\settings.json.
- If "Auto arrange icons" is enabled on the desktop, the OS will override icon positions and this tool will not work correctly. Right-click the desktop → View → uncheck "Auto arrange icons".
- Similarly, "Align icons to grid" may also interfere.
- Multi-monitor support has not been verified.
