Don't jump to another Step when switching passages #1875

Description

@cdfarrow

Sometimes I want to review an earlier step (that has been completed) and look at each Passage in that step (e.g. go the the Record step to delete some extra long gaps in the audio). However, when you click on another Passage, APM jumps to the next Step to be completed instead of staying on the current (e.g. Record) Step. This is terribly confusing(*), and also counter-productive when reviewing Steps that have been completed (or even partially completed) because you have to click back on the Step you are reviewing to complete the review for the other Passage(s).

  • The UI presents the Steps as a sequence across the top, and the Passages are like tabs under the current step. From a UI design perspective, switching Passage should not change the context at the higher level (i.e. the Steps level).
