#Yukari Original Language Model Architecture — Caribbean

The first original AI architecture designed and authored from the Caribbean.

Overview Yukari is an original language model architecture built for edge deployment in resource-constrained environments. Designed from the ground up to run on low-powered hardware — without cloud dependency — Yukari targets real-world deployment in education, healthcare, and low-bandwidth regions where existing large-scale models are impractical. The architecture achieves strong capability retention relative to models many times its size, while maintaining a minimal memory footprint suitable for devices with under 2GB RAM.

Motivation The proliferation of large language models has created a critical gap — capable AI remains inaccessible to communities with limited hardware, unreliable internet, or constrained infrastructure. Yukari was designed specifically to close that gap, with the Caribbean and similarly positioned regions as the primary deployment context. The goal is not to compete with scale — it is to prove that architectural ingenuity outweighs it.
