BackPing 1.0.0 is the first local macOS release.

Highlights:

  • macOS menu-bar app for local human input from AI agents.
  • Localhost-only Streamable HTTP MCP server with bearer auth.

  • Slack Socket Mode support with threaded answers and choice buttons.

Install note: this DMG is unsigned and not notarized. On first launch, macOS may require right-clicking BackPing and choosing Open.
