Boom

2D 4-Player split-screen competitive shooter over network in which projectiles travel relative to the screen. Players can scroll their own worlds by moving, which can be used to block incoming projectiles. This is a game jam project from GameJamGraz 2014.

WARNING This project is an experiment, there are a lot of bugs and it is barely playable. Enjoy at your own risk :)

Boom screenshot

  • Multi player over network with a dedicated server.
  • Maps are generated using a deterministic random number generator with seeds provided by the server.
  • Uses SDL2, Boost.
